Montgomery County Community Blood Drive
Great blood drive in March, blood drive collecting 37 donations. Our goal is for 42 donations for the May blood drive.
Please know that with the tragic event in L’villle last week KBC immediately contacted UL Hospital to make sure that they had all the blood products needed to treat all the wounded individuals. They did, but a reminder of how important it is to donate on a regular basis so there is always an adequate community blood supply.
The video link below is about Lucan Cannon, high school student in Flemingsburg 15 years ago. He was involved in a farming accident and needed 150 pints of blood. I had just moved to Kentucky and Flemingsburg was one of my counties. I met Lucas at Cardinal Hill along with his mother…….amazing, moving story!
